The Future of Cricket at Torr Park.

A Ground for Generations.

Cricket in Eastham since 1854 — building a future for everyone.

Turning Our Vision into Reality

The return of competitive cricket to Torr Park is just the beginning. Working with South Liverpool Cricket Club, Wirral Council and the local community, we aim to build on the progress already made and create a cricket ground that Eastham can enjoy for generations.

Restoring the Cricket Ground.

  • Looking ahead — Continued improvements to the square and outfield will help accommodate more cricket as the ground develops.
  • Cricket returns — Competitive cricket returned to Torr Park in 2025 after eight years.
  • Restoring the square — Extensive renovation, including scarification, aeration, reseeding and specialist cricket loam, has helped bring the playing surface back into use.
  • Working together — South Liverpool Cricket Club, the Cheshire Cricket Board and the Eastham Village Preservation Association have contributed to the restoration.

  • Water and drainage — Providing the services needed to support modern facilities, particularly a mains sewer connection.
  • Secure equipment storage — Protecting valuable specialist mowers, the roller and other essential ground-maintenance machinery.
  • An attractive setting — Exploring a veranda, traditional picket fencing and sympathetic landscaping.
  • Funding and partnerships — Working with Wirral Council and other partners to deliver improvements progressively.
